made these short annies after looking for images of herbivorous (plant and algae-eating) crabs (slide 2), that help to support coral reef ecosystems 🪸 (which have been rapidly depleting due to pollution and climate change 😔) and came across a video of a swimmer crab (slide 1). ya’ll knew there were crabs that swim like this? 😄🦀 so cute and whimsical ✨

my first few years of animation in a reel 🎞️ as a film school “dropout” who realized that self-direction is best for me, it’s so cool to see how far I’ve come—with YouTube, some experimentation and support of loved ones ;). though there’s still so much I want to learn, more and more I’m allowing myself to just enjoy and trust the process of crafting and transmitting stories, ideas and feelings visually and sonically, and seeing where it all takes me 🤲🏾✨
